Sensory play is any activity that engages a child’s senses—touch, sight, sound, taste, and smell - along with movement and balance. These playful experiences spark curiosity, build creativity, and encourage problem-solving.

Beyond the fun, sensory play boosts brain development, improves focus, and strengthens fine motor skills like coordination and control. It also helps kids express themselves, develop language, and even find calm when they’re overwhelmed.

Snap Mouse was originally started in 2024 simply as a creative outlet for myself during my maternity leave with my second but has quickly grown into something much more, for so many of us. A COMMUNITY!
